When I interpret the RedHat bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1415137#c67 correctly, NSS 3.28.3 should be again compatible with OpenJDK we had before the different rebuilds with 3.28 < 3.28.3 and since 3.28.3 brings back the original state the OpenJDK build from before is again broken.
When my understanding is correct, OpenJDK 8 should now require at least NSS 3.28.3 but should not anymore directly require an exact build anymore again. Shipping a new OpenJDK8 build with every NSS update seems quite some overkill and this should be tested explicitely once we have a defined state again. For TW this should be now. For Leap we need to align Java and NSS again with the upcoming Firefox and NSS update to 3.28.3.
As for openSUSE Leap 42.2, are there any plans to either align java-1_8_0-openjdk and mozilla-nss updates or to relax the requirement in java-1_8_0-openjdk for mozilla-nss (i.e mozilla-nss >= 3.29.3)? Thx. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
