http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001697 Bug ID: 1001697 Summary: Gnome-software shows only a small subset of installed apps Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: badshah400@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 694776 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=694776&action=edit Installed list only shows .desktop files without associated metainfo Since the TW 20160923 update, gnome-software, now at v3.22, shows an incorrect list of installed apps (under the Installed tab). More precisely, it seems it shows only those installed apps corresponding to .desktop files which _do not_ install any associated metainfo file. Apps with proper metainfo files are no longer listed here, even if they are installed. To be clear, installed apps without corresponding metainfo data used to shown in g-software 3.20 too, but the problem now is that the ones with valid metainfo are not. I killed gnome-sfotware and restarted it from command-line with the --verbose option passed, hoping there is some hint here. The text file is attached later, but first, a screenshot :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
