http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=998301 Bug ID: 998301 Summary: noto-sans-cjk-fonts changes fonts family preference for sans-serif, mono, and serif Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: ftake@geeko.jp QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- noto-sans-cjk-fonts package provides /etc/fonts/conf.d/59-noto-sans-cjk.conf. It configures default font for sans, mono, and serif. This configuration file shows the following file: 1. default font must be controlled by fonts-config package instead of independent font package. 2. the configuration file assign Noto Sans font to Serif alias even though openSUSE have serif-shape fonts for CJK language. To resolve problem, I moved this configuration file to fonts-config package. Moreover, add appropriate preference list for Serif font of CJK and Serif and Mono for Japanese. Note that as a conclusion of discussion, we continuously use IPA fonts instead of Noto for Japanese. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
