Dominique Leuenberger
Is there an executive summary? :-) I would like to have the option of the power button to shut down back please. Other DEs at least display a dialog asking what to do. The default action of gnome right now just crashes my system (which is another bug).
Exec summary would have been: shutting down on just the push of a button is too high a risk for data loss (there is no loss on supsend/hibernate - it should not crash though :P ) that said: SLE seems to have some weird request like yours too (and somebody asking to get the power button back to shut down the machine) and patched g-s-d for this purpose For the record: I don't think this is any sensible option one should ever configure his power button to do. Anyway, fix incoming (via SLE channel) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
