http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=983565 Bug ID: 983565 Summary: dm-cache is not loaded on boot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: luizluca@tre-sc.jus.br QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, Since recent tumbleweed updates, my system does not load dm-cache during the boot, which I use it for /home partition. /home is a lv that uses a ssd lv as cache for hdd disc (building an hibrid ssd/hdd disk). After timeout, systemd gives me the maintanance shell (where it asks for root password). If I manually loads dm-cache (modprobe dm-cache) and exits, systemd is able to continue. I don't know where to start to look for a fix. dracut should have loaded it (even not being the root partition?) systemd? udev rules? lvm config? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
