What is actually the reason openjdk cannot use a shared library (either directly or via dlopen())? NSS is updated rather often (every 9 months at least).
I tried more then half a year ago to make it link with the shared libfreebl. I miserably failed. When I was enquiring how to do it, I was advised that there is no direct linking, but getting symbols by calling some kind of init function.
