http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=982146 Bug ID: 982146 Summary: Kstart Button Menu "Recent Documents" Cannot Find Application Handler Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: bill_wayson@yahoo.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Selecting any entry from the Kstart button's "Recent Documents" item results in a "Could not find any application or handler for..." error message. However, when the same document is clicked on from within Dolphin, the document is opened in the proper application. This is happening with plain text and PDF documents. Tumbleweed is at "openSUSE Tumbleweed (20160526) (x86_64)" with all updates that are available as of 1:00 PM PDT on 5-29-2016 applied. I have run the multimedia codec installation instructions found in section 13.1 at http://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php, and have the libdvdcss and Packman repositories enabled. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open some documents from Dolphin to populate the "Recent Documents" menu item under the Kstart button menu; 2. Select a document found under the Kstart menu "Recent Documents" menu item; Expected behavior: The document should open up in its preferred associated application. Actual behavior: An error message which reads (in part), "Could not find any application or handler for...." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
