Thanks for the log!
The logfile shows that libinput is used for all input devices including the
trackpoint, the synaptics touchpad and the 'Thinkpad Extra Buttons'.
It looks like the advice should be to install xf86-input-libinput for Synaptics
touchpads expecially on ThinkPads on Leap 42.1.
For Leap 42.2 and TW this is already the default.
I don't like to change the configuration for a released product as it may have
side effects for other users. So we are most likely not changing anything for
42.1.
Let's keep the result of this as an advice to users.
I'm changing this to 'Fixed' as it is resolved for TW and will be resolved for
the next Leap release.
