Well, this driver is only a meta package, which only makes sure during a system update, that all input drivers are installed again. It should no longer be installed on a fresh system.
This may be the case on newly installed systems but not TW systems that have been updated for ages - like the one I'm looking at here.
We may drop it though, since the migration to splitted driver packages should have happened on the customer side meanwhile.
If you don't see any real flaw in the change outlined above I will push this and we can still decide whether we want to drop xorg-x11-driver-input. There is no immediate need for this, however.
sle12 alreaday comes with the meta package (openSUSE since at least 13.2) and we do not support system updates from n --> n+m (m>=2).
