Your hint "repository with debuginfo" let me have a look at the Repositories in the wiki and there's a section about debug: https://en.opensuse.org/Package_repositories#Debug Well, need to find this piece of information, because these packages can't be found with 'zypper search' and at https://software.opensuse.org/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=glibc- debuginfo&search_devel=false&search_unsupported=false
So my issues would be: In gdb the information that the package is in a separate debug repository. Well gdb might give some hint ("make sure to have correct repositories enabled" or something simillar) And software.opensuse.org does not list these packages. No, first debuginfo is something that is generated for most packages, its not something separate, software.o.o is not tool fo searching for debuginfo
