From what we've seen, it is a race condition in some areas
while booting qemu-kvm with -smp 2,sockets=2,cores=1,threads=1 makes the problem go away, using 8 cores and 16 threads shows it. This icewm bug seems to be interesting for the case: https://github.com/bbidulock/icewm/issues/37 Testing combinations / fixes is indeed time consuming, as no attempt done so far revealed the issue inside a running system - we only ever seen this when starting the installer directly of the media. One of our next planned tests to confirm the theory with icewm is to create a staging iso wirh icewm 1.3.8 (which, according to above bug report, did not yet have the WM_NET_TIME code in it) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
