--- Comment #5 from Nick Levinson <Nick_Levinson@xxxxxxxxx> ---
But even the statement that "[o]n KDE 5 kwallet5 is the default password store
now" does not say that passwords will be irrecoverably deleted from the current
location. One could reasonably assume they'd be transferred. Not all users of
openSuse, KDE, or Chromium are deeply knowledgeable or security-paranoid enough
to go beyond what the message says to investigate what will happen to their
passwords before accepting an update. I also don't recall seeing the KDE5
message or anything like it recently; I may have long ago, but the
deletion-of-passwords message given to us after an update is being repeated
every few weeks, so, if the message about deletion is wrong, if only for
clarity it should be edited for future updates. If the message is correct, some
kind of fix is within someone's scope. This change in behavior is not
unspecified; it is specific and can lock users out. If this should go
elsewhere, let us know, so we can take it there.
