http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=970481 Bug ID: 970481 Summary: Device Notifier incorrectly identifies SSD as removable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: danielm@ecoscentric.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The Device Notifier widget incorrectly lists my primary SSD drive holding my root partition as removable, offering the option to "Open with file manager" or a large Eject icon. I'm concerned about the latter as I find myself inexplicably drawn towards it, a bit like Dougal here:- http://makeagif.com/Gv_eJV Hopefully it would complain that file system is currently mounted and is safely behind two thumbscrews and a panel, but I've yet to try. I'm not sure if the heuristics may be confused by the default partitioning for UEFI/GPT? sda3 is btrfs as setup by yast2. chunk:~ # fdisk -l /dev/sda Disk /dev/sda: 111.8 GiB, 120034123776 bytes, 234441648 sectors Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disklabel type: gpt Disk identifier: 9ACB1FA5-67CC-474D-A68B-20A8AFB6553F Device Start End Sectors Size Type /dev/sda1 2048 321535 319488 156M EFI System /dev/sda2 321536 4530175 4208640 2G Linux filesystem /dev/sda3 4530176 234440703 229910528 109.6G Linux filesystem -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
