http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=967564 Bug ID: 967564 Summary: KDE:Frameworks5/ksysguard5: ksysguardd daemon cannot be installed by itself Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: hrvoje.senjan@gmail.com Reporter: licehunter@gmail.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- The executable /usr/bin/ksysguardd is designed to run with minimal dependencies so that it can be used to monitor remote (possibly headless) machines. With the current packaging however, it is not possible to install only the daemon part without also bringing in most of KDE5. The only real dependency of ksysguardd itself is package libsensors4, which in turn has only the most basic of dependencies. I have already tested installing just libsensors4 and the /usr/bin/ksysguardd binary (by hand) on a minimal system, and it works perfectly from the point of view of remote monitoring. Would it be possible to split ksysguardd into a subpackage with minimal dependencies? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
