http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=967535 Bug ID: 967535 Summary: lldb too green to be shipped? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Development Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: andi-nbz@firstfloor.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I ran into some issues with gdb for a problem, so I decided to test the lldb But as far as I can tell not even the minimal basics in a debugger work: ak@trent:~/tsrc> gcc -g -o loop2 loop2.c ak@trent:~/tsrc> cat loop2.c int i; main() { for (;;) i++; } ak@trent:~/tsrc> lldb --version lldb version 3.7.0 ( revision 246586 clang revision 246586 llvm revision 246586) ak@trent:~/tsrc> rpm -q lldb lldb-3.7.0-2.2.x86_64 ak@trent:~/tsrc> lldb ./loop2 (lldb) target create "./loop2" Current executable set to './loop2' (x86_64). (lldb) b main Breakpoint 1: where = loop2`main + 4 at loop2.c:7, address = 0x0000000000400501 (lldb) run <does not stop in main> So break points do not work <I press Ctrl-C> ^C^C^C^C^C So stopping does not work also. I'm not sure anything works in fact. It seems LLDB on Linux is banana software and still completely green and needs a lot of work. Does it even make sense to ship such a program in LEAP? I would expect that a package has at least basic working functionality. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
