http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=966631 Bug ID: 966631 Summary: Corrupted low memory Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: darren@freemaninstruments.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Using kernel-default-4.4.0-8.1.g9f68b90.x86_64 from OBS Kernel:stable. GIT Revision: 9f68b909e79a8520cee723b728fec80e33eaef6b I have started seeing the kernel messages, [351387.161541] Corrupted low memory at ffff880000008000 (8000 phys) = 0006848e [359187.721138] Corrupted low memory at ffff880000008000 (8000 phys) = 00087291 [373408.744215] Corrupted low memory at ffff880000008000 (8000 phys) = 000c2033 [376528.967669] Corrupted low memory at ffff880000008000 (8000 phys) = 000d261b [381509.328749] Corrupted low memory at ffff880000008000 (8000 phys) = 000eb445 and so on. I have never seen this before. I just copied about 650 GB of data off a NTFS filesystem attached via USB, and I can't say that I've done that before on this new laptop. In the course of filing this bug, I just noticed these recent messages also. I'm pasting it here just in case it's part of the same bug. I can create another report once we know it's just a coincidence.
