Just to add my 2 cents worth of analysis I did on this case:
GMT provides a library called 'libpsl.so.5.1.1' which is meant as a PostScript
Light library
libpsl5 provides a library for Public Suffix List handling.
The names conflict - and the content/target of the lib is obviously not the
same.
The easiest fix in this case seems to be for one of the libs to change its
name. libpsl probably arrived later on the scene, but managed to become quickly
a core library (as curl relies on it already), probably rather forcing GMT to
change the name of its internal library.
I suggest libpslight. The fix in the package should be rather simple, but this
probably needs coordination with upstream as well.
