I have used OpenSUSE source repository:
http://download.opensuse.org/source/distribution/leap/42.1/repo/oss/
to get source of ffmpeg with dependecies:
zypper source-install ffmpeg
After extracting ffmpeg archive and ./configure && make
and after ffmpeg -i some_problematic_video works
For instance I have:
some_problematic_video.avi with
avi container,
Stream #0:0: Video: msmpeg4v3 (DIV3 / 0x33564944), yuv420p, 592x256, 25 fps,
Metadata:
title : Videostream
Stream #0:1: Audio: mp3 (U[0][0][0] / 0x0055), 48000 Hz, stereo, s16p, 96
kb/
Metadata:
title : Audiostream 1
With origin ffmpeg I cannot get any info about this file due to "Invalid file
format" error. After recompilation ffmpeg from sources (steps above) I can get
all informations without any error.
All solves rpmbuild and installation of ffmpeg and dependencies by this way -
then mpv and others libav* based applications works.
Other solution is to install newer version of ffmpeg from Packman repository
(Change repository for ffmpeg and libav* libraries by YaST).
