http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=964862 Bug ID: 964862 Summary: systemd-udevd: maximum number (136) of children reached Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I have an old server connected via FibreChannel to a bunch of disk shelves that contain a few dozen (about 60) of dual-port disks. When rebooting the system, boot fails and goes to single user mode. I'm unsure about the reason: One of the FC-Disks has a SMART prefailure warning, but that disk is part of a RAID10 that is not needed for boot. The other thing is a warning about "Timed out waiting for device..." Before I see MANY messages like "systemd-udevd: maximum number (136) of children reached"; could this be the cause for "Timed out waiting for device..."? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
