Clement, thanks for your tests!
1. The issues with draonPlayer seem to be player specific.
2. kaffeine used to be the player of choice but it is based on the xine engine
and this (last I know) lost traction. Apart from the green dots there are
comb
artefacts. They are due to interlacing etc. the player software can 'fix'
them
maybe you have not set the right parameters (AFAIR kaffeine has some options
to set or this feature isn't working with kaffeine/xine any more).
I usually use mplayer these days as this seems to wok most of the times.
But in any case, the issues you are seeing don't seem to be related to the GFX
driver.
We won't update 13.2 to a new Mesa/kernel, anybody who wishes to use 13.2 on
Intel Broadwell and insists you use 13.2 should use the KOTD and update to the
software in X11:XOrg in OBS.
I can either close this with 'FIXED' as the hang has been resolved on more
current versions of DRM/Mesa or as 'WONTFIX' as we won't fix this for 13.2 any
more.
Again, thanks for verifying that the original problem went away with Leap 42.1!
