OK, so I did little bit more testing... I discussed the issue with mmarek on IRC and he suggested to completely remove uas module:
Just to explain. usb-storage will notkick in if you blacklist uas. You get a device without driver
The disk is not detected, but the computer doesn't crash. :-) The behavior is same in both USB 2 and 3 ports.
No driver. The device remains unclaimed.

The disk is not detected, but the computer doesn't crash when it is unplugged.
The device answers with a RESPONSE IU. The driver in 13.2 cannot handle that. I backported the patch. That doesn't explain the crash, though.
And the disk is detected and works as one would expect. So that I added (at least for now) usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:331a:u to the end of command line parameters in GRUB in YaST Bootloader configuration.
