I have no idea really, I am only remotely using these machines. The one has a
screen connected, I think it might be turned on, I was recently at the machine
fixing that other damn networking bug after upgrading from 13.2 to 42.1 and the
screen is usually in dpms mode.
The other machine has a kvm switch connected and the keyboard switched out to a
second machine running a different os.
But i suppose these machines all idle at the login screen, the default stuff
that comes up on opensuse.
I have shut down the displaymanager via systemctl as i didnt want to wast power
on this bugged process
Maybe I can ask some folks next time to try to wake up the display via mouse
keyboard at the one machine that has some connected.
I cannot tell right now about the strace stuff right now. Will try if
eventually at some other machines the cpu load appears again.
Somehow I think it got something to do with higher uptime and idling logon
screens. My loaded machines all had 3+ days.
