--- Comment #32 from Felix Miata
- Do you still see this on tumbleweed/Leap?
I tried a Leap installation on a machine on which I never experienced this (I can't recall ever experiencing this on any 64 bit installation), and could not reproduce. Thus, further attempts on Leap would likely be pointless. Maybe I should have selected 32 bit rather than x86 when I filed? I have a TW installation in process on a machine that is a twin (gx280) to one on which I did previously reproduce this (comment 30, gx28b), and can not reproduce. I intend to retry TW on 1 or 2 other hosts on which this was previously exhibited as time permits. I tried to respond to comment 31 two days ago, but as bug 954547 implies, this has been a time gobbler.
- From above I gather that on some systems you saw this issue on others you didn't: Were you using the same mouse on all?
Trackballs all. I don't remember (this was originally filed >4 years ago), but most likely I tried more than one in order to rule out pointing device failure. The most used one, a common Logitech Marble, has never to my recollection exhibited any type of failure on an already installed system.
- Could you reproduce the observation from comment #25 reproduce only during installation or on an installed system as well?
I don't remember (comment 25 was over two years ago). Comment 6 possibly answered this implicitly. The comment 25 host m7ncd is one I hope to try a fresh TW installation on to follow up here. It does have operating 32 bit installations of all from 10.0 through TW except for 10.3 and 11.2, plus recent Fedoras and Mageias, making new evdev tests possible if they would be helpful here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
