You cannot just blacklist the module. You need to set the 'u' quirk as a parameter for the device. Please do that to test whether the device works with the old storage driver.
In case with working LIVE CD's, fdisk reports that partition (formatted to ext4 and encrypted with LUKS) does not start on physical sector boundary. The partition table is GPT. Well, if this is really big issue, I can reformat it as it is nearly empty, but I formatted it in YaST in openSUSE 13.1 promo DVD... Could You, please, tell me how to "set the 'u' quirk as a parameter for the device" and how to test if it "works with the old storage driver" (which one is it)?
usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:331a:u You need to instruct UAS to ignore the device (the old storage driver and uas share quirks) to make the old style driver (usb_storage as opposed to uas) drive the device. Even reading the partition table fails. So how the device is partitioned is unlikely to be relevant. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
