--- Comment #10 from Wolfgang Bauer
if i uncheck "activate desktop search" then duration is displayed in the data panel but not in movie property window in data tab
This proves that the plugin is working.
if i check again "activate desktop search" then duration is no more displayed
As I said, if Baloo (file indexing) is active, the information displayed is taken from the index, and as long as the files themselves don't change, they are not reindexed either. That's a limitation of Baloo, but as the KDE4 version is dead (the final release was a year ago already), this won't be changed for KDE4 any more.
how to index again my home or better the folder of my choice ?
I believe it should do so by itself if you disable indexing and turn it on again. But it will take some time, especially if you have a lot of files in your $HOME. And AFAIK the KDE4 version cannot be told to just reindex *one* folder. If you don't want to search for the metadata (or filetype and things like that), you could also just leave indexing off. Even searching for file contents in dolphin will still work, it will fall back to using "grep" in that case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
