kernel-default-4.2.4-1.2.x86_64 virtualbox-host-kmp-default-5.0.8_k4.2.4_1-2.1.x86_64 virtualbox-qt-5.0.8-2.1.x86_64 virtualbox-guest-kmp-default-5.0.8_k4.2.4_1-2.1.x86_64 virtualbox-5.0.8-2.1.x86_64
Hm, why does it automatically install the guest modules as well?
fabians-laptop:/dev/vboxusb # la total 0 drwxr-x--- 2 root vboxusers 40 Nov 2 20:35 . drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 4140 Nov 2 20:35 ..
Doesn't recognize any devices.
And did you do the necessary change to the udev rules? I.e. have you copied /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/60-vboxdrv.rules to /etc/udev/rules.d and modified it according to the comments? That's necessary with the openSUSE packages because of security concerns. (In reply to Larry Finger from comment #5)
That is so you have vboxvideo when you install in TumbleWeed in a VM.
Actually not IMHO. I consider this a bug in the KMP support macros, but haven't found out yet where exactly. There's absolutely no need to install the virtualbox-guest-kmp-xxx packages on the host.
