http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953035 Bug ID: 953035 Summary: Missing usb keyboard drivers in initrd. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: 0x90@wmailer.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build Identifier: No (usb) keyboard interaction in dracut. E.g. dracut shell or LUKS password promt do not respond. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. fresh installation of leap build 265, no special settings 2. append "rd.break" to kernel command line to get into dracut shell 3. use (e.g. logitech) usb keyboard Actual Results: No interaction possible, even changing numlock status does not work. Expected Results: Working keyboard interaction. All keyboard drivers should be added to initrd, or at least a functioning generic driver. So that even changing keyboard does not break the system because you can not enter encryption password (or use dracut shell). PS/2 keyboard is working. In my case: logitech usb keyboard. "hid-logitech-dj" was installed, but "hid-logitech-hidpp" is also needed, but missing. temporary workaround for logitech usb keyboard: Get somehow booted into that system or use rescue system to add drivers to initrd. Run "dracut --force --add-drivers hid_logitech_hidpp" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
