Thanks!
Ok, lets take all the fluffy stuff out.
But first, are you booting in UEFI or legacy mode? If you don't know:
does the dvd boot menu have an 'boot from harddisk' entry at the top
and 'F-keys' at the bottom (legacy) or not (uefi)?
Then, at the boot screen do this:
(legacy):
- select F3 (Video Mode) -> No KMS
- enter boot options plymouth=0 textmode=1
- boot
(uefi):
- press 'e'
- to the 'linuxefi' line append: nomodeset plymouth=0 textmode=1
- boot with F10
How far do you get?
If you don't get to yast displaying the license agreement, please switch
to console 4 early and watch the kernel messages for anything unusual.
