http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=937756 Bug ID: 937756 Summary: wireless-regdb broken because of missing crda update Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201505* Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: novell@hollants.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Setting regulatory information to wireless drivers via crda is currently broken in openSUSE Tumbleweed: # COUNTRY=DE crda Database signature verification failed. No country match in regulatory database. # regdbdump /usr/lib/crda/regulatory.bin Database signature verification failed. This is because openSUSE Tumbleweed currently ships with crda 1.1.3 and wireless-regdb 2015.01.30. Maintainership of wireless-regdb changed from John Linville to Seth Forshee in December 2014 [1]. Thus the regulatory.bin file provided through wireless-regdb is now signed by Seth Forshee's public key. crda 1.1.3, however, contains John Linville's public key compiled-in only. In crda 3.1.8, Seth's public key got included as well [2]. Thus, crda 3.1.8, already available in the "Hardware" repo at [3] should be merged into Tumbleweed's main repos to get wireless regulatory setting working again.
