http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=936096 Bug ID: 936096 Summary: MongoDB is built against two different boost versions on OpenSuse > 12.3 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: olaf.hartmann@ims.co.at QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2062.94 Safari/537.36 Build Identifier: We experienced quite a lot of runtime problems when using libmongoclient.so on SuSE > 12.3 (crashes, thread synchronisation, ect.) The problem could be tracked to the mongodb spec file, where different scons options are used in the build and the install step. Esp. --use-system-boost is missing for the install command, which causes scons to build boost 1.48 libs and link against them, after compiling against the system libboost (e.g. 1.53 or 1.58 on OpenSuse 13.1) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. write a complex software 2. link against libmongoclient.so 3. start complex software Actual Results: complex software crashes or has runtime errors Expected Results: software should work (as without linking against libmongoclient.so) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
