http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=918561 Bug ID: 918561 Summary: Language change not working properly Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: ancor@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Originally reported by Efstathios Iosifidis as a follow-up to the fixed bug#917014 (after getting the updated non-crashing package). Efstathios Iosifidis Here what I did. I installed Tumbleweed-64bit minimal x in English (Greek language during installation works only using DVD). Then I installed MATE and LightDM. I created only one user. Then I tried to change the language of the system using YaST and had the error of the image I sent. After full upgrade (which happened today Feb 18th), I tried to change the system language from YaST and although it passed the point of error, YaST closed instantly. I assumed it was OK and I restarted my system. My system was in English, although in YaST, the yast-country was Greek. The rest of yast modules were in Eglish. After few tries, I did a log out and back in and it changed to Greek. After I turned off my netbook, I turned it back on and the language was again in English but only yast-country is in Greek (and also says basic language is Greek). Is there any other file I have to check? Please, if you need any feedback from me, let me know how to get it for you. Similar problem reported by Graham Freeman. Graham Freeman I am having similar problem to Efstathios. I am trying to set the Locale to GB English. The YaST/Language interface reports that EN-GB is indeed set, but this is not being relayed to other programs, such as Thunderbird or File Manager where the date is still in the American format. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
