http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=916736 Bug ID: 916736 Summary: gssd started even if nfs client GSS box is unchecked in YAST, nfs v3 mounts fail until gssd is killed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: frerk.meyer@gmx.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I try to mount NFS share from my Synology DS213j NAS via NFS version 3. I configured NFS Client in YAST: I didn't check NFS 4 oder GSS. When I try to mount a share via mount -t nfs nas.box:/volume1/public /mnt it takes forever and does not came back. In the log file with journalctl there is a line Feb 07 11:59:50 moby.o2.box rpc.gssd[1713]: ERROR: gssd_refresh_krb5_machine_credential: no usable keytab entry found in keytab /etc/krb5.keytab for connection with host nas.box When I kill the gssd process and try again it is mounted instantly without a problem like in opensuse 12.3. In my /etc/sysconfig/nfs there are entries # Enable RPCSEC_GSS security for NFS (yes/no) # NFS_SECURITY_GSS="no" NFS3_SERVER_SUPPORT="yes" NFS4_SUPPORT="no" In /etc/init.d/nfs these entries are ignored and gssd is started anyways: #always start gssd, else kernel waits for it. NEED_GSSD=yes .. # start gssd if test "$NEED_GSSD" = yes ; then echo -n " gssd" do_start_gssd || { rc_status -v rc_exit } [ -d /run/nfs ] || mkdir /run/nfs echo $GSSD_BIN > $GSSD_CLIENT_STATE fi Therefore NFS v3 is no longe supported in 13.2. as it was in 12.3 The nfs init script should respect the nfs options of YAST. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
