Michael - can you please specify all stuff that is expanded in
/etc/default/grub and need to be escaped?

I have trouble in listing them because I don't involve in kernel development
and also the list could expand without any notice .. :(

This is quite new, as for grub1 we write it directly to menu.lst
I can escape it in yast2-bootloader but, it I would like to handle all stuff

How about to escape all '$', in sake of we are trying to align with grub1??
