http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=911614 Bug ID: 911614 Summary: With kernel 3.16.7-7, systemd-udevd uses a lot of CPU Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: jessymilare@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- If I boot my PC with kernel 3.16.7-7, calling the command 'top' reveals that the process '/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-udevd' is consuming about 30% of CPU. After a while (less than a minute later), the system begins to use the swap memory, but 'top' doesn't show any process using that much memory. This bug doesn't occur with kernel 3.16.6-2. My laptop has 4 CPUs and 8 GiB of RAM. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
