I even reinstalled
zypper in --force perl
and ddclient packages
to be sure but it still reports the same errors
file permissions are:
ls -lart /etc/ddclient.conf
-rw------- 1 root root 5652 May 21 15:35 /etc/ddclient.con
ls -lart /var/cache/ddclient/
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 18 root root 464 Sep 25 10:29 ..
drwx------ 2 ddclient ddclient 80 Oct 6 17:42 .
-rw------- 1 ddclient ddclient 0 Nov 3 08:08 ddclient.cache
Oh about that .cache file, I had a normal fully filled cache file yesterday
before the zypper dup to 13.2, with the same file rights settings, then decided
to remove it to make sure the ddclient would simply write a new one, but
apparently it set the same file rights again but didnt fill the file because
ddclient fails to run or keep executing.
I am uncertain what is going on here, filepermissions or maybe perl parser or
faulty source code or something.
Any way to forcefully re-install the whole current system (all rpm)?
zypper dup --force or similar? doesnt seem to work. forcefully fetch via
network and reinstall everything that is currently installed?
thanks.
