https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=874055 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=874055#c0 Summary: SRP fails to add targets correctly Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: SLES 12 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: garrett.marks@netapp.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 When Infiniband is configured to use SRP, the system fails to properly add the storage targets to the system. Messages like the following are logged to syslog. 2014-04-16T15:32:06.780071-05:00 linux kernel: [11496.854650] ib_srp: unknown parameter or missing value 'tl_retry_count=2' in target creation request 2014-04-16T15:32:06.788032-05:00 linux kernel: [11496.864952] ib_srp: unknown parameter or missing value 'tl_retry_count=2' in target creation request 2014-04-16T15:32:06.800089-05:00 linux kernel: [11496.874975] ib_srp: unknown parameter or missing value 'tl_retry_count=2' in target creation request Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install SLES 12 on a host with Mellanox IB adapters 2. Configure IB to use SRP and make sure IB-SRP based storage is attached. 3. Map LUNs to the host 4. Reboot or rescan the scsi bus Actual Results: The host does not see any of the LUNs because SRP is failing to add the targets. Messages like the following are found in the host's messages file. 2014-04-16T15:38:31.164032-05:00 linux kernel: [11881.240310] ib_srp: unknown parameter or missing value 'tl_retry_count=2' in target creation request Expected Results: SRP should properly add the targets so the system can access the storage LUNs. The problem is with the automatic addition of targets, I presume with srp_daemon. I can successfully add targets manually using the output of ibsrpdm -c and echoing that output to the /sys/class/infiniband_srp/srp-<hca-port>/add_target file. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
