Thanks a lot!
Nevertheless IMHO the `make cloneconfig' should work out of the box. That is is
should be possible to patch and build ordinary kernel modules for the current
used kernel without disabling CONFIG_MODVERSIONS ;)
I'm not talking about foreign modules which could be build by
make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` modules
.. as this does not work with installed kernel source tree AFAICS:
make: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-3.11.6-3-obj/x86_64/desktop'
CC kernel/bounds.s
GEN /usr/src/linux/include/generated/bounds.h
CC arch/x86/kernel/asm-offsets.s
GEN /usr/src/linux/include/generated/asm-offsets.h
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux/missing-syscalls', needed
by `__build'. Stop.
make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/linux] Error 2
make[1]: *** [sub-make] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
make: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-3.11.6-3-obj/x86_64/desktop'
