--- Comment #10 from Earl Ruby 2013-11-19 00:54:16 UTC ---
I fixed the filters and rebooted again. This time there was no dir0
/dev/disk/by-id/dm-uuid-*-mpath-* device listed when I ran pvs.
I started the dir0 VM and still got the error. The only way I can run
supportconfig within the dir0 VM is to rebuild the dir0 VM and run
supportconfig from the newly-built VM. As soon as I reboot dom0 the VM will no
longer work.
So, I tried rebuilding dir0, but now that the LUN is being filtered AutoYast is
telling me that it can't find the disk. (Doh!)
It looks like I need to:
* Remove the domU filters
* Reboot dom0
* Rebuild the dir0 VM using the /dev/disk/by-id/dm-uuid-*-mpath-* device
* Make sure that the dir0 VM has the new lvm.conf filter
* Run supportconfig within the dir0 VM before I try rebooting dom0
Does that sound correct?
FWIW, the output I sent from supportconfig was generated by running it with no
parameters from the dom0.
