I need the whole kernel messages from the boot. Don't clear dmesg but give
just the dmesg output after the boot. alsa-info.sh prints only the
ALSA-related messages, so the messages from thinkpad_acpi are dropped in its
output.
And, did you check whether the values in alsa-info.sh output changes if you
toggle mute of volume up/down via hotkeys? The secondary card corresponds to
the thinkpad_acpi's mixer, and this shows the current value.
If it doesn't change, the hotkey might be masked in your case. You can enable
the whole hotkeys via sysfs, for example,
cp /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_all_mask
/sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_mask
should enable all available hotkeys forcibly.
