Non UEFI grub also fails (UEFI support is already broken) on intial boot when a separate boot partition is assigned (whether booting from MBR is enabled or boot partition is enabled). The system gets stuck on grub rescue with the error that grub2/i386/mod not found.. (or somewhat similar message). However, when a separate boot partition is not assigned, then the installation proceeds normally and booting is successful. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install with a separate boot partition 2. initial boot 3.
