https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=843885 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=843885#c0 Summary: Scans from HP2200C scanner and xsane come with gray / colored vertical stripes on 64 bit system, work fine on 32 bit system Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: peter.krummrich@gmx.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=561311) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=561311) Black and white test page scan on 64 bit system User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 When scanning with my HP2200C flatbed scanner using xsane 0.998 on a 64 bit system running OpenSUSE 12.3, the preview runs fine for the first scan, but the second scan and the following ones contain vertical gray stripes for black and white scans and colored stripes for a full color scans. The number of stripes and the locations vary from scan to scan. Using the same software on a 32 bit system with the same scanner does not produce these stripes. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. start xsane 2. start preview scan 3. adjust scan area and white level of the background 4. scan image Actual Results: Scanned image looks ugly due to gray or colored vertical stripes Expected Results: Images without stripes as on the 32 bit system I did not find a way to add more attachments to this bug report. Three additional files with a color scan on the 64 bit system and black and white / color scans from the 32 bit system are available. The stripes result from wrong bits, probably calibration issues on the 64 bit system, and not from noise or dirt in the scanner. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
