I've tried to start into init 3, since i am convinced this has nothing to do
with chromium, and still the fan starts running at full speed.
This is definitely a kernel driver issue, i just dont have a clue where to
look.
I've tried another powertop and this again shows the Realtek and Intel (why are
both installed together?), each to consume 100% cpu.
acpi_osi=Linux has worked for me in the past when powersaving went AWOL, but
now it doesnt and i've also removed some i915 specific kernel booting
parameters.
An update to the latest versions (of today), didnt solve anything either.
What can i test?
