--- Comment #3 from Freek de Kruijf 2013-09-02 22:09:24 UTC ---
When configuring a virtual host there is a screen with a Change VirtualHost ID
button. It is quite unclear what that means. The Help on that screen also gives
no explanation. It appears to be one or more or all of the IP addresses. Also a
server name is possible. It is unclear what should be used. Defining an alias
for the server is not possible (like example.org and www.example.org).
In configuring the Change VirtualHost ID I could choose two IP addresses
127.0.0.1 and 192.168.178.35. This gives an error message, that only one is
allowed.
With IPv6 addresses it is possible to give each vhost its own global IPv6
address. In that case one just needs to add an IPv6 address as the VirtualHost
ID. Only possible in Server Name.
The original problem in Comment 1, that the service timed out, is gone.
So the type of this bug report is now a mixture of small problems and a feature
request. In my view the small problems, the error/warning messages need to be
addressed.
I may be able to study the Ruby source to come up with (a) patch(es).
