https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=837337 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=837337#c0 Summary: installation of apcupsd does not create /etc/sysconfig/apcupsd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jeff@reggie.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 Installed apcupsd using Yast->Software Management. When apcupsd calls /etc/apcupsd/apccontrol doshutdown to shut the machine down, it silently fails because the file /etc/sysconfig/apcupsd is required but has not been installed. See line 113 of /etc/apcupsd/apccontrol This line is not present in any of the builds included in the apcupsd source distribution. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install apcupsd using Software Management 2. execute /etc/apcupsd/apccontrol doshutdown 3. Actual Results: See error msg: /etc/apcupsd/apccontrol: line 113: /etc/sysconfig/apcupsd: No such file or directory Expected Results: System should shut down The bug is not obvious. When the system should shut down, nothing happens and nothing is logged. The error message only appears if the script is called manually. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
