Most important is ID_LIKE, which is supposed to put the same name for close systems, where we should mention suse (or sles?). ID_LIKE="suse" The point is to have /etc/os-release, which can say this is suse based distro, which is mostly the same as popular and commonly used [ -f /etc/SuSE-release ] check does.
