https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=824825 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=824825#c0 Summary: Apache2 service crashes because of uid.conf error Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Apache AssignedTo: bnc-team-apache@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: tonysu@su-networking.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 Apparently discussed on Gmane, but am creating this bug to ensure fix is reviewed and works in openSUSE as well http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.suse.opensuse.devel/50983 Although this system was at one time accidentally upgraded with Factory components installing 13.1, a "zypper dup" has since been implemented to return the system to a standard, normal 12.3. Hopefully nothing was retained from 13.1. Started noticing this about a week ago on a laptop, but haven't looked closely at the problem until today.
