https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812612 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812612#c0 Summary: Closing laptop lid incorrectly suspends laptop after zypper dup from OpenSUSE 12.2 to 12.3 (KDE) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rlk@alum.mit.edu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Using KDE 4.10.1, if I close the lid on my laptop (Dell Precision M6500), the laptop suspends. I have configured KDE to lock the screen when I close the lid; it performed this action correctly in 12.2. I updated from OpenSUSE 12.2 to 12.3 via zypper dup. I have observed the following messages in /var/log/messages: 2013-03-30T15:58:01.165342-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd-logind[8009]: Lid closed. 2013-03-30T15:58:01.165947-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd-logind[8009]: Suspending... 2013-03-30T15:58:01.166561-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd[1]: Starting Sleep. 2013-03-30T15:58:01.172386-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd[1]: Reached target Sleep. 2013-03-30T15:58:01.172785-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd[1]: Starting Suspend... 2013-03-30T15:58:01.175120-04:00 rlk-mobile systemd-sleep[10111]: Suspending system... Set KDE to lock the screen when closing the lid. 2. Close the lid 3. Actual Results: Laptop suspends Expected Results: Laptop should stay running; screen should lock.
