--- Comment #10 from Takashi Iwai 2013-03-20 07:38:41 UTC ---
OK, then let's check step-by-step.
- Install hda-verb program, either from OBS home:tiwai repo or it's included in
the updated alsa-tools package in OBS multimedia:libs.
- Unplug the headphone, and run hda-verb like below as root:
hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x0b GET_PIN_SENSE 0
If the bit 31 of the returned value is non-zero, it means that the hardware
detected the jack on the pin 0x0b.
- Check the above for all pins from 0x0a to 0x11 by replacing 0x0b.
The pin 0x0a should be the mic jack, and this should be the only pin for I/O
jacks.
- If the above test shows always 0x8xxxxxxx, try to perform like below:
hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x0b SET_PIN_SENSE 0
hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x0b GET_PIN_SENSE 0
It'd be interesting if this changes the value from the second GET_PIN_SENSE.
