--- Comment #2 from Marco Munderloh 2013-03-15 11:17:06 UTC ---
I blacklisted the rts_pstor module and the kernel is not tainted anymore.
However, the problem persists.
There are two ext4 filesystems mounted, one for root, with the fresh install of
12.3 RC2 (should be upgraded to final by now), and one older home partition. Of
course there are also the additional virtual ones.
I unmounted the home partition but still the same kernel Oops with a complete
freeze of the system. CPU temperature is not going high, though, as it used to
do.
I set up kdump but it doesn't fire up on a kernel crash, even on manually
triggered one (echo c > /proc/sysrq_trigger). Don't know why, it should be set
up correctly (rckdump status tells so). Disabling KMS didn't help. Also, the
Oops is not in the logs anymore, maybe lost somewhere in the kdump?
