https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807171 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807171#c0 Summary: iwlwifi for Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 utterly unstable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dragoscos@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 driver / firmware for Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 is basically useless. I have to be extra careful "not to stress" the wireless network card too much, otherwise it retaliates right away with "ieee80211 phy0: Hardware restart was requested". I know it's also been declared by our colleagues from Fedora since last year, but no real solution so far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. just establish any network connection that requires a constant stream of data (tabs in browser with youtube films, torrent client, samba copy, on-line radio in player etc.) 2. 3. Actual Results: no more network connectivity, although in KNetworkManager all looked fine. Plus the dmesg result Expected Results: Wireless network connectivity should have stayed stable.
